Chloride
Because of the mining camps Chloride was a very rich town .There were about 1500 people in Chloride. They had a brewery ,saloons and lots of general stores and a Post office in 1873 but that was shut down and re-open in 1893 when mining boom once again.(this post office is still in Choride today.) In 1898 they put the Sante Fe railroad tracks from Kingman to Chloride. In 1944 everything was getting very expensive so the cost of material and labor was to much so the mining cost more then what you can dig it up for.So the mines closed and the people left the town of Chloride slowly and before you know it ,it became a "Living Ghost town!"
